Yarn bombing, also know as urban knitting and graffiti knitting is a form of public art that puts a smile on my face. It brightens up public spaces and is non-permanent so doesn’t damage the local environment. Bikes, trees, statues, urban knitting can liven them all up. Often this art is commissioned by local authorities. Here are some of my favourite examples of yarn bombing:
