The soft, cute and fluffy loom knit hats look amazing on everyone – men and women, young and old. Another great thing about them is that you can have loads of fun making them on your long or round knitting looms. There is nothing better than a tiny loom knit hat to keep your baby warm while fashionable hats accessorized with crocheted flowers, ribbons and buttons are great for altering your whole appearance any time.

Easy Loom Knit Hat Pattern Instruction
I wish they wrote these patterns for those of us that only loom knit and have no clue what all the code means like “*K 2 tog” or “K 4” or “**” or “40 st”? I picked up a round loom at a garage sale and just played with it until I figured it out and made a couple hats. Now Mom wants me to make her a hat with attached scarf so I thought I would look for different stitches and patterns but I have no idea what “40 st” means or any of that other stuff. If they have pictures with the loom as they show me the stitches I can usually figure things out but not when it is just knitting code.
40st is 40 stitches which is the pet count and as for k2tog it’s knitting two stitches together usually a decrease but YouTube has great videos for helping with basics of loom knitting and the terminology
